Indore,M.P
A passenger was penalized for spitting gutkha from a moving bus after a Municipal Corporation (MIC) member captured the act on video. Authorities promptly issued a challan on the spot, reinforcing the crackdown on public cleanliness violations.
The cleanest city of the country is once again in the news for its vigilance. Actually, the conductor and driver ate gutkha and spat on the road from a moving bus. The MIC member made a video of this and informed the Municipal Corporation. Then what… the corporation team issued a challan to both of them for spreading dirt.
There was a stir at the Navalakha bus stop when the conductor and driver sitting in a moving public transport bus ate gutkha and spat on the road. Municipal Corporation's MIC member Manish Sharma, who was following the bus, saw the entire incident with his own eyes and immediately made a video of the conductor's action. He immediately informed the corporation control room about this. As soon as the information was received, the bus was stopped at the Navalakha bus stand and the corporation team took action against the driver and conductor for spreading dirt in a public place.
Both had to apologize by holding their ears on the spot. The corporation issued a challan of Rs 100 each from both of them and clearly instructed that those who spread dirt in public places will not be spared under any circumstances. Indore has consistently remained number one in cleanliness in the country and in such a situation strict vigil is being kept on such activities. Manish Sharma also clearly said that direct action will be taken against those who play with cleanliness, no matter who they are. The people of Indore are appealed to eat gutkha or not, but do not spit. This is not just a violation of law, but also playing with the reputation of the city.
