Wall Collapse Kills Woman in Vidisha; Rescues in Damoh Floods; Tawa Dam Gates Opened

Due to the rains for the last two days, a 60-year-old woman died after the wall of a kutcha house collapsed in Gram Panchayat Nehrayai of Shamshabad. The woman's husband was also sleeping in a nearby hut and narrowly escaped. On the information of Sarpanch Dharmendra Yadav, SDM Ajay Pratap Singh and Naib Tehsildar Darshan Lal Negi reached there and after getting the Panchnama prepared, the body was sent for post-mortem.

Heavy rains in Tendukheda Taradehi area of the district have caused flood-like conditions in half a dozen villages. Vyarma river is in spate. Contact with about half a dozen villages of that area has been lost. The bridge of Vyarma river is filled with water. The administration is on alert mode. There is no news of any loss of life at the moment. Damoh Collector Sudhir Kumar is keeping an eye on the entire incident. The administration team has successfully rescued two people trapped in the flood. Gokul Gond and Asha Rani, residents of Taradehi, were rescued. Both were safely evacuated through a boat from Jaitgarh farm.
