Employees Likely to Receive Bonus Exceeding ₹1 Lakh This Time

Good news for select employees as they are expected to receive a bonus of over ₹1,00,000 this time, raising hopes ahead of the festive season.

In the coal industry, discussions have started among coal workers about the festival bonus. In Coal India, this issue is to be discussed between the management and the representatives of the labor unions by the end of next month. A meeting may be held on September 23 to decide the bonus. This time the coal workers are expecting to get more than one lakh bonus as compared to last year.

Coal India management pays bonus amount to coal workers every year on the occasion of Durga Puja-Dussehra in the form of Performance Linked Reward (PLR). The representatives of the management and unions included in the Standardization Committee of JBCCCI decide on this. Coal India has been in profit in the last financial year. In view of this, the representatives of labor unions are also talking about making efforts to get more bonus to coal workers as compared to last year. K Lakshma Reddy, National Coal Incharge of BMS, who visited Korba a few days ago, had also said that efforts will be made to get more bonus to coal workers as compared to last year.
