Ruckus over Congress District President Appointments in MP, Report Submitted to Harish Chaudhary

Discontent brews within Madhya Pradesh Congress over district president appointments, with action likely against dissenters. The organizational report has been submitted to state in-charge Harish Chaudhary for further decision.

There is a ruckus in Madhya Pradesh Congress regarding the appointment of district presidents. Especially in Bhopal district, the most opposition to the appointments is being seen. Some party leaders are constantly making serious allegations against big leaders of making district presidents through setting.

Pictures of protests have surfaced in many districts including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Narmadapuram, and Jabalpur. According to sources, the state organization has already issued warning letters to the protesting leaders. Now major action is likely against these leaders in the next two days. A complete report of this matter has been submitted to the state in-charge Harish Chaudhary, and the party is preparing to take a tough stand on indiscipline.

Ruckus after the release of the list
After the appointment of 71 district presidents by the Congress in Madhya Pradesh, widespread controversy and dissatisfaction is being seen within the party. The list released by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) on August 16 includes 6 sitting MLAs, 11 former MLAs, 3 former ministers, 4 women, 12 OBCs, 10 Scheduled Tribes (ST), 8 Scheduled Castes (SC) and 3 minority leaders. The list includes some prominent names like former chief minister Digvijay Singh's son Jaivardhan Singh as district president of Guna, Mahesh Parmar as district president of Ujjain rural, and Siddharth Kushwaha as district president of Satna. However, these appointments have created resentment among workers and leaders in several districts.
