Gwalior Municipal Corporation to conduct energy audit, promising significant savings in electricity bills.
To make urban bodies self-reliant, Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has instructed to focus on innovations. In this sequence, energy audit is being conducted to reduce the electricity expenditure of urban bodies.

After Rewa, Gwalior Municipal Corporation is the second city, which has taken a step in this direction and started the tender process of energy audit. Gwalior Municipal Corporation will spend Rs 1.67 crore for this work, in which along with street lights, work will be done towards reducing the bill of seven to eight crore rupees every month in water treatment plant, boring, sewer treatment plant, Sulabh Complex, corporation offices.
