Dhar,M.P
The new park in Madhya Pradesh will provide employment to 3 lakh people, including cotton farmers, boosting both agriculture and the textile industry.
Under the 'Farm to Fashion' model in the park, all the processes of thread production, weaving, dyeing, designing and garment manufacturing will be operated at one place. This will reduce the cost of production, increase quality and ensure transparency in the entire process.
There is great news for cotton farmers and textile industry in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. On September 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the country's first PM MITRA Park in Bhaisola village, Badnawar tehsil on the occasion of his birthday. This mega textile park will be based on the 'Farm to Fashion' model, in which the entire process from raw cotton to readymade garments will be operated in the same premises.
Permanent buyers and better prices for farmers
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Dhar, Jhabua, Khargone, Ujjain and Barwani districts are already ahead in cotton production, but farmers were not able to get fair price and permanent market. PM Mitra Park will overcome this deficiency. All units from cotton processing to garment manufacturing will be established in the park. This will provide buyers to farmers at the local level and the value of their produce will increase.
New employment opportunities
The Chief Minister said that this textile park will provide employment to about 3 lakh people. Of these, 1 lakh people will be directly and 2 lakh indirectly associated. Youth, women and small startups will also be able to get employment and business opportunities through this park. The textile sector is already a major employment sector in the country, and PM Mitra Park will help establish Madhya Pradesh as a textile hub at the national level.
Productivity will increase with the 'Farm to Fashion' model
Under the 'Farm to Fashion' model in the park, all the processes of thread manufacturing, weaving, dyeing, designing and garment manufacturing will be operated at one place. This will reduce the cost of production, increase quality and ensure transparency in the entire process. Apart from this, the global competitiveness of India's textile sector will be strengthened and new opportunities for export and foreign exchange earnings will open up.
Preparations for investors and infrastructure
The government has fully prepared the infrastructure for the project. The layout of the park with link roads, approach roads, electricity, water and security arrangements is in its final form. Investors from India and abroad are excited to invest in the textile and garment industry. This will also increase industrial development and regional balance in Dhar and the surrounding backward areas.
Local youth and women will benefit
Local youth will be trained under the skill development program in the park. Special employment schemes are proposed for women. This will strengthen the rural economy and create sustainable livelihood opportunities. PM Mitra Park is going to become not just an industry but a means of prosperity for cotton farmers and the textile sector.
