Indore Truck Accident: Death Toll Rises to 3

The horrific truck accident on Airport Road in Indore, Madhya Pradesh has shocked the entire city. On Monday evening, the uncontrolled truck entered the no-entry zone and hit more than 15 people, in which three people have died so far. Initial investigation has revealed the name of the truck driver as Gulsher, who was allegedly in a drunken state. Police have registered a case of culpable homicide against him.
The deceased in the accident have been identified as Kailash, Laxmichand and Mahesh. One injured person died during treatment, taking the death toll to three. Currently 12 other injured are undergoing treatment in various hospitals. There was chaos at the spot, and the angry mob set the truck on fire. According to eyewitnesses, the truck went out of control between Ankit Hotel and Geetanjali Hospital while coming from Sanwer Road, crushing several vehicles and pedestrians. A bike got stuck and dragged under the truck, which caught fire.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is going to reach Indore by changing his program. He will leave from Bhopal in some time and will meet the injured and victim families of the accident. The Chief Minister will take information about the entire incident from the officials and will give instructions for immediate assistance to the affected. The CM has already expressed grief over this accident and assured better treatment of the injured and help to the families. Police and administration have deployed heavy security forces at the spot. Investigation is going on, and the number of dead is expected to increase. This accident is raising questions on road safety, especially about the negligence in preventing the intrusion of vehicles in the no-entry zone.
