Electricity will become cheaper in Madhya Pradesh, benefiting 25 lakh consumers with significant monthly savings on their power bills.

There's good news for electricity consumers in Madhya Pradesh. Electricity will become cheaper in the state, benefiting 2.5 million people. The reduced electricity rates will save consumers ₹66 per month.

Electricity will become cheaper in Madhya Pradesh starting September 22nd, the first day of Navratri. Electricity will become cheaper by 22 paise per unit. Those with an average monthly consumption of 300 units will save ₹66 on their electricity bills. The central government's GST 2 decision has brought relief to electricity consumers.

It's worth noting that coal used to attract a 5% GST and a ₹400 per ton compensation. The central government has increased the GST on coal from 5% to 18%, but has removed the remaining amount. Removing the remaining amount will not change the tariff slabs, but will reduce the fuel charge, making electricity cheaper.
