Tragic Road Accident in Bihar: Three Youths from Madhya Pradesh Killed While on Exit Poll Survey Duty; Luxury Car Collides with Truck

A horrific road accident in Hajipur, Bihar, early Monday morning claimed the lives of three youths from Madhya Pradesh and left four others seriously injured. The victims were in Bihar to conduct exit poll surveys for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. The crash occurred around 4 a.m. near Naiper Mor in the Industrial police station area.

According to reports, a luxury car traveling from Jandaha toward Hajipur rammed into a 16-wheeler truck that was illegally parked facing the wrong direction on the roadside. The collision was so severe that the front portion of the car was completely destroyed. Three passengers died instantly, while four others sustained serious injuries.

Bodies Removed Using Crane

Upon receiving information, Industrial police station personnel rushed to the scene. The car was so badly mangled that a crane was needed to extract the bodies. The deceased were sent to Hajipur Sadar Hospital for postmortem, and the injured were also admitted there for treatment.

Victims Identified

The deceased were identified as:

  • Rajabai Choudhary (23), resident of Gunour, Madhya Pradesh

  • Hemant Pratap Yadav (24), from Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh

  • Ramswaroop Yadav (23), from Bakshwaha (Kardhaniya), Madhya Pradesh

All three were employed with a private survey company and were in Bihar for exit poll data collection.

Condition of Injured Critical

The injured were identified as:

  • Pushpa Choudhary (28), resident of Chakunda village, Hajipur

  • Shalini Verma (26), from Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh

  • Kapil Kumar (24)

  • Shivam Kumar (19), from Samastipur district

All four are undergoing treatment, and their condition is said to be critical.

Survey Company Confirms the Incident

Shivam Dwivedi, supervisor of the private survey company, confirmed that his team was working on the Bihar Assembly election exit poll survey. After completing the survey in Kishanganj constituency, they were on their way to Hajipur when the tragic accident occurred.

Police Launch Investigation

Industrial police station in-charge Arvind Paswan said the primary cause of the accident appeared to be the truck parked in the wrong direction and the high speed of the car. Police have launched a search for the truck driver, who fled the scene after the crash.
