Big Administrative Reshuffle in Indore, Officers Shifted Across Many Tehsils
Indore (MP)
Indore administrative reshuffle 2026 sees major revenue department transfers as IAS Shivam Verma reassigns officials across key tehsils.
The district administration of Indore, part of Indore, has introduced a large-scale reshuffle in the revenue department. The move has been initiated to improve administrative efficiency, strengthen land revenue management, and ensure better governance at the tehsil level. The changes were ordered under the leadership of IAS officer Shivam Verma, who currently serves as the district collector.
According to official inputs, officers who had been stationed in the same locations for extended periods have now been reassigned to new posts. Those against whom complaints of negligence were raised have been shifted from sensitive revenue court duties to protocol and administrative support branches.
Major Transfers Across Eight Tehsils
The reshuffle covers eight tehsils within Indore district, while Mahu and Sanwer tehsils have been kept unchanged. Significant administrative movement has taken place in areas including Juni Indore, Rau, Kanadiya, Khudel, and others.
In Kanadiya, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate Deepak Chauhan has been given additional responsibility, while Deputy Collector in charge Priyanka Chourasia has been assigned Khudel. Officials Oam Narayan Badkul and Neeraj Khare have also received new departmental roles in land acquisition, public asset management, and public service guarantee sections.
In Juni Indore, Tehsildar Preeti Bhise has been transferred to Khudel. Similarly, Yachana Dixit has been moved from Rau to the protocol branch. Narayan Nandedha has been reassigned from Malharganj to Kanadiya, while Lokesh Ahuja has been given new responsibilities in Malharganj.
Detailed Tehsil-Level Reassignments
In Juni Indore, Tehsildar Rakesh Sastiya, Additional Tehsildar Kamlesh Kushwaha, and Naib Tehsildar Ashok Parmar will now handle revenue operations, while Balveer Singh Rajput has been assigned protocol duties.
Malharganj now has Shekhar Chaudhary as Tehsildar, with Lokesh Ahuja and Oankar Managre as additional officers. Nidhi Rajput Dhakad has been posted for protocol responsibilities.
Kanadiya tehsil will function under Tehsildar Narayan Nandedha with Naib Tehsildar Pooja Nagvanshi. Ankita Bajpai has been placed in protocol duties.
Rau tehsil has received Satyendra Gurjar as Tehsildar along with Dharmendra Chauakse as Additional Tehsildar, while Dheereesh Prasad Soni has been assigned protocol responsibilities.
Bhicholi Hapsi, Hatod, Khudel, and Depalpur tehsils have also seen multiple internal transfers, ensuring redistribution of administrative workload across the district.
Municipal Corporation Payment Dispute and Legal Concerns
In a parallel development, the administrative functioning of the municipal corporation has come under scrutiny due to pending payments to muster workers. Despite court orders, approximately 45 crore rupees from the first phase of payments remain unsettled.
A formal notice has been issued by the Labour Commissioner’s office in the name of Municipal Commissioner Kshitij Singhal. The commissioner has been directed to present a clarification by April 21. Authorities have also instructed the submission of recovery certificates.
If the pending payments are not cleared within the stipulated timeline, legal experts suggest that contempt of court proceedings may be initiated against the municipal commissioner and other responsible officials.
