Ahmedabad Plane Crash: Special Prayers Held at Mahakal Temple for Victims

Special rituals were performed at the Mahakal temple for the peace of the souls lost in the Ahmedabad plane crash. Priests also offered prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.

 
 

Air India's Boeing 787 Dreamliner plane going to London crashed in a medical college campus a few minutes after taking off from Ahmedabad airport on Thursday afternoon. There were 12 crew members and 242 people on board, including two pilots, in this plane crash. So far, 265 people have been confirmed dead in this deadly plane crash. The families of those who have lost their loved ones in this accident are in deep sorrow. The whole country is in mourning due to this incident.

Meanwhile, in the world famous Mahakal temple in Ujjain, special worship rituals were performed by the priests for the peace of the departed souls. Pandit Gaurav Sharma, priest of Mahakal temple, said that Baba Mahakal is the king of the mortal world, so a special worship ritual was performed in the temple today. Under this worship, Baba Mahakal was anointed with Panchamrit and it was wished to him that the people who have died in this incident should be given peace and the people who have been injured should get well as soon as possible.
