Anurag Jain Gets Extension as MP Chief Secretary

Three days before retirement, Anurag Jain received an extension and will continue as Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh till August 2026, reflecting the government’s trust in his leadership.
The order for the extension of Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary Anurag Jain has been issued. The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India has issued the order. Anurag Jain will now remain the CS of MP till 2026.
The suspense regarding the Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh is over. Anurag Jain has been given an extension once again. On Thursday, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that hearty congratulations to Anurag Jain on extending his tenure by one year. At the same time, he also wished that the development journey of the state will continue to set new standards with the long administrative experience, innovations and continuous efforts of Anurag Jain.
Let us tell you that Anurag Jain is a 1989 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. He took charge as the 35th Chief Secretary of MP in the year 2024. His tenure was to end in August 2025, but the government has given him a chance to extend his service by one year three days before his retirement. Now he will remain the CS of MP till August 2026.
