A big revelation has been made regarding Bhopal's Aishbagh Railway Overbridge (ROB). In the investigation report conducted by the Public Works Department (PWD), it was revealed that the design of this bridge was changed thrice. Initially it was to be built at a 30 degree angle, then it was made 45 degrees and finally the bridge was built at 90 degrees, which is technically dangerous. According to the report, this construction can become an "accidental zone".
After receiving the report, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has given clear instructions that until the defects of the bridge are not removed, it will not be inaugurated. The investigation report has also revealed a dispute regarding lack of coordination and correspondence between the Railways and the PWD. A three-member technical committee consisting of Chief Engineer BP Bourasi, PC Verma and EE Praveen Nigam.
They investigated the process of bridge construction and changes in the design and submitted the report. Now the bridge will be inaugurated only after the defects are removed.
