BJP marks 47th founding day with fresh office‑building push and mass outreach across 17 Madhya Pradesh districts.
BJP fete in 17 districts
On its 47th foundation day, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has formally launched the construction of 17 new district offices across Madhya Pradesh, with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and state president Hemant Khandelwal joining the events virtually from the party’s state headquarters in Bhopal.
The simultaneous “bhoomi pujan” ceremonies in these districts mark a fresh stage in the BJP’s organisational expansion drive ahead of upcoming electoral cycles.
Bhoomi pujan from Bhopal
At the BJP’s state office in Bhopal, a morning cadre conclave began at 11 a.m., attended by the Chief Minister, the state president and senior ministers, MPs and MLAs, setting the tone for the day’s events.
From the same venue, Yadav and Khandelwal each joined the 17 district ceremonies online, inaugurating the planned office complexes that party officials say will strengthen grassroots coordination.
17 districts in the fold
The 17 districts getting new district BJP offices already have land parcels earmarked for party use, officials said, with tenders issued and construction slated to begin in phases from these foundation‑day events.
Local party functionaries describe the offices as “mission centres” that will house full‑time organisational staff, grievance cells, and digital outreach hubs as part of the BJP’s “organisation over symbolism” strategy.
Booth‑level celebrations
Across the state, from divisional and district offices down to mandal and booth levels, the BJP has announced special programmes for its 47th founding day.
Officials said party flags will be hoisted at every booth, diyas lit in front of offices, and social media posts carrying images of BJP flags at members’ homes will be encouraged as part of a coordinated digital campaign.
‘Gaon‑Basti Chalo’ from Monday
The BJP has announced that from April 7 to 12 it will run a state‑wide “Gaon‑Basti Chalo” campaign, covering all 230 assembly segments in Madhya Pradesh.
In each constituency, teams will visit 50 selected villages, with booths preparing detailed lists of events, local leaders to be met, and public meetings to be held during the six‑day outreach.
Focus on old workers and schemes
Under the “Gaon‑Basti Chalo” campaign, senior leaders including MPs, MLAs, mayors and municipal heads have been asked to personally visit the homes of long‑time BJP workers and honour them publicly.
Party guidelines stress that leaders must not only deliver speeches but also interact with beneficiaries of central and state schemes, record their testimonies on video and share them on social media to showcase policy impact.
Cleanliness and welfare drives
Officials outlined that the village visits will open with community cleanliness drives, where top party figures will be seen wielding brooms and joining local volunteers in swachhata activities.
These will be followed by choupal‑style sessions on flagship schemes of the Modi‑led NDA government and the state BJP administration, with an emphasis on transferring “real‑time” voter feedback to the party’s central research cell.
