A powerful boiler explosion at a potato chips manufacturing unit in Mahu triggered panic on Saturday morning, leaving a young boy severely injured and raising serious questions about industrial safety standards in the region.

Explosion at Factory in Kodariya Village

The incident occurred around 9 am in Kodariya village, located in the Mahu area. According to initial reports, the boiler inside a potato chips factory suddenly exploded with a loud blast, sending shockwaves across the locality. The sound was reportedly heard from a considerable distance, alarming residents and creating chaos in the surrounding area.

Child Living on Premises Suffers Severe Injuries

The injured has been identified as Shubham, the son of Jitendra Makwana, who works at the same factory. The boy lived with his family within the factory premises. He sustained serious burn injuries to his face due to the explosion.

People present at the site rushed to his aid immediately after the incident. He was taken to the Civil Hospital in Mhow for initial treatment. Due to the severity of his condition, doctors referred him to a hospital in Indore for advanced medical care.

Eyewitnesses Describe Panic After Blast

Residents nearby reported that the intensity of the explosion caused widespread panic. Many rushed out of their homes, fearing further blasts or structural damage. The suddenness of the incident left workers and locals shaken.
