"Bulldozer Action Faces Heavy Opposition"

Encroachment drive witnessed strong opposition as bulldozers demolished three houses under Vikas Pradhikaran with police presence. Notices have been issued to 33 more houses for further action.

The action to remove illegal encroachment was started in the presence of district administration, municipal corporation and heavy police force in Begum Bagh area of ​​Mahakal Marg in the city on Friday morning. The municipal corporation team reached to demolish three houses under Vikas Pradhikaran, against which hundreds of local residents came out on the streets. Seeing the situation, the administration increased the deployment of police force on the spot and efforts are being made to convince the protesters.

The administration says that the houses which have been demolished are the property of Vikas Pradhikaran, whose lease was not filled for many years. Despite this, the residents were occupying it.

The administration said that a total of 33 such houses have been identified in Begum Bagh area, whose lease has not been updated. Notices have been issued to all of them, and if the lease is not paid within the stipulated time, demolition action will be taken against them too.
