Call to Link Khandwa with Indore High Court Gains Support

A demand to affiliate Khandwa with the Indore bench of the High Court instead of Jabalpur has received backing from Parliamentary Affairs Minister and Kamal Nath. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan also weighed in on the matter.

On the second day of the monsoon session of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, the issue of connecting Khandwa to Indore High Court instead of Jabalpur was raised. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, former CM Kamal Nath also supported this demand. Kamal Nath has asked CM Dr. Mohan Yadav to take cognizance of this matter.

BJP MLA Chhaya More from Pandhana assembly seat of Khandwa district talked about a plan to connect Khandwa to Indore High Court. He cited the distance of Jabalpur High Court from Khandwa. Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya supported it. He said that if Khandwa is connected to Indore High Court, it will be easier for the people of Khandwa. Former CM Kamal Nath also supported and said that the minister has described long proceedings in this matter.
