Central GST Raid in Chhatarpur Uncovers ₹2 Crore Tax Evasion

A Central GST raid in Chhatarpur exposed tax evasion exceeding ₹2 crore. A notice has been issued to the Nagar Palika President to appear at the Jalpur office for further investigation.
A big revelation has been made during the raid conducted by Central GST at the house of Naugaon Nagar Palika Adhyaksh in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh. GST theft of more than 2 crores has been revealed in the raid. Fraud was being committed by creating fake firms. The government was being cheated through GST credit without import and export.
The companies were operating only on paper
Actually, Central GST conducted a raid on Tuesday. Action was taken against these three firms, M/s Anoop Traders, M/s Om Traders and M/s Yash Traders. The game of fake input tax credit (ITC) was going on without actual supply of goods. Both Om Traders and Yash Traders were operating only on paper. Local Nagar Palika Adhyaksh Naugaon Anoop Tiwari is said to be related to these firms. The action is being taken under the leadership of Divisional Central GST Commissioner Lokesh Lilhare.
