CM Dr. Mohan will attend PESA Maha Sammelan, will perform Bhoomi Pujan and inauguration of development works worth 53 crores

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will attend the PESA Maha Sammelan organized at Nagar Palika Parishad Pali in Umaria today on 4th June. On this occasion, the CM will perform Bhoomi Pujan and inauguration of various development works worth 53 crores 85 lakhs. The Chief Minister will perform Bhoomi Pujan of 4 works worth 14 crores 71 lakhs and inaugurate 22 works worth 39 crores 14 lakhs.

Benefits of PESA Act

– The objective of empowerment of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Gram Sabhas of tribal areas is being fulfilled through PESA Act

* Documents of village land and forest area are being received directly from Patwari and Beat Guard without going to Tehsil office

* Consent and recommendation of Gram Sabha is mandatory for land acquisition, mineral survey, lease and auction

* With the right to collect and market minor forest produce and tendu leaves, now the tribal community itself decides the price of its minor forest produce

* With the right to fish farming and water chestnut production in reservoirs, income is increasing

* Now Gram Sabha has the right to ban liquor in public places and stop illegal sale

* Intervention of Gram Sabha in case of buying or occupying the land of tribals in an illegal manner. Stopping incidents of fraud with them
