Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav's father-in-law Brahmanand Yadav died on Tuesday night at the age of 98. He was in his native village in Ambedkar Nagar in Ayodhya district of Uttar Pradesh at his last moments. He was ill for a long time and was recently brought home after treatment at Sultanpur District Hospital, where he breathed his last. His last rites will be performed in Rewa today on Wednesday.

Late Brahmanand Yadav's life has been deeply connected to Rewa. He was residing in Rewa for about 45 years and it is here that he took forward his social and family life. He made Rewa his karmabhoomi and from here he gave a strong foundation to the family. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is currently on a foreign tour with his wife. In such a situation, there is little possibility of him being able to attend the last rites. This sad news was given to the Chief Minister over the phone, after which a wave of mourning has spread in the administration and the family.
