Significance of Bakrid
Eid-ul-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail, and Allah’s mercy. It is observed on the 10th day of the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah, with the tradition of animal sacrifice being followed.
