CM inaugurates ‘Anandmay Wellness Yoga Health Center’, says yoga balances body, mind and soul

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Monday inaugurated the first phase of the ‘Anandmay Wellness Yoga Health Center’ in Ninora, Ujjain. Addressing the gathering, he said that yoga is not merely a physical exercise but a comprehensive science that balances the body, mind, and soul. He emphasized that yoga promotes physical health, mental peace, and spiritual awareness.
Dr. Yadav highlighted that Ujjain has always been renowned for its spiritual journey. “It is a matter of pride that continuing the tradition of sages and saints, a modern wellness and yoga center equipped with advanced facilities has been established here, where citizens can benefit from natural therapies and yoga,” he said.
Yoga connects us with nature
The CM said that our Sanatan culture teaches us to live in harmony with nature, and yoga is the medium that fosters this connection. He further noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has elevated yoga’s global stature, resulting in worldwide recognition of its benefits.
Certificates for foreign trainees
During the event, 22 foreign trainees from the USA, Czech Republic, and Czechoslovakia were awarded certificates for completing yoga training, which had been conducted online over the past 10 days. Dr. Yadav congratulated them, urging them to promote India’s yoga tradition in their respective countries.
Praise from Yoga Guru
Yoga Guru Swami Omanand Maharaj lauded the CM, stating that Dr. Yadav himself practices yoga daily and is fostering a new vision for health and wellness in the state. He added that the center will soon offer specialized services based on natural, Ayurvedic, and Vedic medical practices.
Collaboration with Ayurveda Institute
A MoU was signed between the Government Dhanvantari Medical College and Anandmay Wellness Center to jointly provide research and services in yoga and Ayurvedic medicine. The center will also use yoga therapy and natural methods for the treatment of stress, depression, and mental disorders.
