CM Mohan Yadav announces price scheme:Farmers selling soyabean in Kiaaan Mandi will receive government compensation

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said the welfare of farmers is the government’s top priority and that no farmer will suffer losses.

The scheme will ensure that soybean farmers get fair prices, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of an MSP of Rs 5,328 per quintal. A survey is also being conducted to assess damage caused by yellow mosaic disease.

The state government has announced the Soybean Price Deficiency Scheme. CM added that this year, farmers will receive the benefit of the price deficiency scheme, based on suggestions from farmers’ unions.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that farmers will sell soybeans in the markets as before. If soybeans are sold below MSP, the government will compensate farmers' losses under the Bhavantar scheme.

The government will directly provide the difference between the selling price of the crop and the minimum support price (MSP).

Registration process of farmers in the Bhavantar scheme is being started soon.

Compensation after surveying crop damage

Chief Minister said in a program at Jaisinagar in Sagar district today that wherever soybean crops have been damaged due to excessive rainfall or disease in Madhya Pradesh, surveys of soybean crop damage are being conducted in all such areas. He said that after the survey, farmers are being given appropriate compensation for soybean crop damage.

Farmers will receive bonus money in their accounts through the price difference payment scheme.

Loss will be assessed

If the selling price of agricultural produce in the market is less than the average model price declared by the state government, the farmer will be compensated for the difference between the minimum support price and declared average model price.

If the selling price of average quality agricultural produce in the market is less than the minimum support price but more than the average model price declared by the state government, the farmer will only be given the difference amount between the minimum support price and actual selling price as compensation.

Relief funds have been provided to farmers for crop damage in the past as well. Farmer-friendly decisions have been taken before too. Flood-affected farmers were also given assistance.

The government always stands with farmers in times of crisis. Surveys are also being conducted for damage caused by yellow mosaic. Necessary relief will be provided to farmers for affected crops.
