CM Mohan Yadav Inaugurates Projects, Distributes Vehicles, Extends Karva Chauth Greetings in Ujjain

On Friday, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited Ujjain to inaugurate and perform groundbreaking for construction projects worth over ₹133 crore in Unhale. The event was attended by MP Anil Firozia, Rajya Sabha MP Bal Yogi Umesh Nath, MLA Satish Malviya, Jitendra Pandya, and other public representatives.


Visits to Colleges and Cultural Sites

Following the Unhale event, CM Yadav visited Avantika College and Kalidas Academy, and took part in the plaque unveiling ceremony of Emperor Vikramaditya. He emphasized the government’s support for persons with disabilities, youth, women, and farmers, and extended Karva Chauth greetings to women observing the fast for their husbands’ longevity.


Samrat Vikramaditya University Plaque Unveiling

In the evening, CM Yadav unveiled the plaque renaming Vikram University as Samrat Vikramaditya University, reflecting on Vikramaditya’s legacy and notable alumni like President Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma. Recalling the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis, he praised the Prime Minister and highlighted the importance of resilience.


Educational Infrastructure Inaugurations

CM Yadav inaugurated multiple educational facilities in Unhale, including:

  • Government College, Jharda – New building, ₹4.34 crore
  • Government Higher Secondary School, Kundikheda – New building, ₹1.47 crore
  • Government Girls’ High School, Mahidpur & Semliya – New buildings, ₹1.47 crore each
  • ITI Tarana – New 6-trade building with 60-seater boys’ hostel, ₹10 crore

He also performed groundbreaking for additional multi-crore projects, further boosting the city’s infrastructure.


Dignitaries and Event Highlights

The program saw participation from prominent leaders, including Dr. Inder Singh Parmar (Higher Education Minister), Gautam Tetwal (In-Charge Minister), Anil Firozia, and Balayogi Umesh Nath Maharaj.

These initiatives, totaling over ₹131 crore, aim to enhance educational infrastructure, accessibility, and institutional capacity in Ujjain. A government official noted, “These developments reflect the state government’s commitment to education and urban development, benefiting the city’s youth and residents.”
