Congress Holds Jal Satyagraha in Rewa’s Bihara River: Protest Against Corruption and Fake Appointments

The Congress party organized a strong Jal Satyagraha at Baba Ghat on the Bihara River, which lasted from afternoon till evening. Through this protest, Congress voiced strong opposition against widespread corruption, fake appointments, and various social injustices in Rewa. Party leaders warned the government that if their demands are not met, the agitation will intensify.

Congress spokesperson Vinod Sharma stated that corruption has reached its peak in every department of Rewa, and corrupt officials are being shielded—those who are playing with the rights of the public. He said the objective of this Jal Satyagraha is to remind the government of its responsibilities and protect the rights of the people.

The event saw the presence of Congress Working President Kunwar Singh, District Vice President and former councillor Arun Tiwari Munnu, senior leader Sanjay Gautam, SC District President Hemraj Saket, tribal leader Ramkalesh Kol, and hundreds of party workers. All leaders together strongly opposed corruption and demanded a quick resolution from the government.
