Congress to Protest on Ashoknagar Roads: PCC Chief Jeetu Says 'This is a Message, Not an Arrest'; BJP Retorts Over Hotel Row
Bhopal,M.P
PCC Chief Jeetu Patwari announced that Congress will protest on the roads of Ashoknagar, calling recent arrests a symbolic message. The BJP countered, claiming Congress leaders don’t get hotel bookings because they don’t pay. The political tussle continues to escalate.
Congress is holding a Jail Bharo Andolan tomorrow, Tuesday 8th July, in Ashoknagar district of Madhya Pradesh. A day before the agitation, State Congress President Jeetu Patwari has given a big statement.
PCC Chief Jeetu Patwari said- Congress will stop on the roads of Ashoknagar. Congress will be there wherever there is atrocities on ST-SC and OBC, Congress will also reach there wherever there is administrative anarchy. Wherever the attention of the government has to be drawn, Congress will do its duty. In Ashoknagar, instead of getting justice for the victim, an FIR was filed against me.
We will fight a democratic battle
Not one FIR, but 100 FIRs, many have been filed before this. The police is not doing its duty in this case, we are going to Ashoknagar against this act of the police. We will stop on the road, at the houses of workers, wherever they stop us, we will stay. This is not an arrest, it is a message, we will not take a step back. Whenever you commit atrocities, we will fight a democratic battle.
