Couple's bodies found in Shipra river in Ujjain: Tied with saree, couple aged 23 & 17; had been missing for 6 days

On September 23 they had left their house due to family opposition to their love affair, were found dead in the Shipra River on Sunday in Ujjain’s Mahidpur area. Their families arrived on Monday to collect the bodies, which were cremated after post-mortem at Mahidpur cremation ground.
Minor's family filed case
On September 23, a young man ran away with a minor girl. Based on the report of the minor's family, a case was registered on September 25 under kidnapping and POCSO Act. The investigation of the case was handed over to Kotri DSP. Bodies tied with saree found in Shipra river-: Kachhola Police Station SHO Balkishan Sharma said.
Aadhaar card found
SHO Balkishan Sharma said an Aadhaar card in the youth’s pocket identified him as a Bhilwara resident. Mahidpur police found a kidnapping and POCSO case was registered against him at Kachhola police station. A police team took possession of the bodies, and after post-mortem, they were handed to families, who performed last rites in Mahidpur.
