Earthquake Jolts District in Madhya Pradesh, Triggers Panic Among Residents

An earthquake struck [District Name] in Madhya Pradesh, causing panic as residents rushed out of their homes early in the morning. No casualties have been reported so far. Authorities confirmed the tremor’s intensity at [magnitude] on the Richter scale, with aftershocks possible. Rescue teams are on alert.

 

Mild tremors of earthquake were felt in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday night. People felt these tremors at 9:57 pm, when there was a sudden tremor. Its effect lasted for about 30 seconds. The meteorologist posted at Khandwa Agricultural College also confirmed this and said that earthquake tremors were recorded for only a few seconds, whose epicenter is in Amravati district, about 66 kilometers from Khandwa district headquarters.

So far there is no report of any loss of life or property anywhere. However, the district administration is also alert. People came out of their homes after feeling the tremors in Pandhana of Khandwa district. The intensity of the earthquake was measured at 3.7 on the Richter scale. According to the meteorologist, the epicenter of the earthquake was 66 kilometers away on the border of MP and Maharashtra. Tremors were felt in many nearby rural areas including Kohdad, Borgaon, Rustampur village of Pandhana in Khandwa.
