Ujjain, MP
A grand 11-kundiya Mahayagya has been organized in Dupada village of Shajapur district for the installation of a statue of Sant Ravidas. The yagya began on Monday morning with sacred rituals performed by priests chanting Vedic mantras.
Following the Ganesh invocation at the yagya mandap, a grand Kalash Yatra (sacred pot procession) was carried out. Hundreds of women and young girls participated, carrying kalash (sacred pots) on their heads. The procession moved through the main streets of the village and reached the yagya site, where villagers welcomed them with showers of flower petals.
This Mahayagya will continue for five days, featuring daily religious rituals, discourses, and devotional music evenings (bhajan sandhya). On the final day, the event will conclude with the installation of the statue of Sant Ravidas. Devotees from Dupada and neighboring villages are participating in large numbers.
Manohar Phuleria from the organizing committee said that the entire village is filled with a spiritual and devotional atmosphere, making the event grand and successful.
