A fire caused by an electrical malfunction tripped an MCB and disrupted the power supply at Gwalior’s Kamla Raja Hospital. Eight children admitted in the ICU were swiftly shifted to ensure their safety. This marks the fourth fire incident at the hospital within three months, raising serious concerns over fire safety in its ageing infrastructure
A sudden fire broke out in Kamala Raja Hospital in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh. As soon as the fire broke out, there was chaos in the hospital. As soon as the fire broke out, the power went out. In a hurry, 8 children admitted in the ICU were shifted to another ward to a safe place. This is the fourth incident of fire in Kamala Raja Hospital in three months.
Actually the fire broke out in the MCB box of the hospital. The MCB box installed in the wall of SNCU caught fire. It is being said that the fire broke out due to a short circuit in the MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker). Due to the fire in the MCB, the power of the entire hospital went out. 8 children admitted in the SNCU children's ICU were shifted to other wards. Fire broke out in Kamalaraja for the fourth time in three months. Incidents of arson are happening due to years old cables. The old cables are not being replaced by the hospital management. The Jayarogya administration has written letters several times to replace the cables, but even after this no attention is being paid.
