Government's All-Party Meeting on OBC Quota, Congress Foot March in Bhopal Today

An all-party meeting has been called to discuss the implementation of 27% OBC reservation. Meanwhile, Congress will hold its ‘Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod’ foot march in Bhopal today, while CM Dr. Mohan Yadav is scheduled to attend various programs.
An important all-party meeting is going to be held in Bhopal today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. This meeting has been called to discuss the issue of implementing 27% reservation to Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in Madhya Pradesh. The meeting will be held at 11 am in the CM House, in which representatives of all major political parties have been invited. OBC category is currently getting 14% reservation in Madhya Pradesh, while 87% of the posts are being recruited in government recruitments. 13% of the posts have been put on hold due to OBC reservation. The government is committed to finding a permanent solution to this issue.
A five-member Congress team will attend the meeting
Yesterday in Ujjain, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had made it clear that his government is determined to implement 27% reservation. A five-member Congress team will attend the meeting, which includes Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar, PCC Chief Jeetu Patwari, former PCC Chief Arun Yadav, Kamleshwar Patel and legal expert Varun Thakur. Apart from this, AAP state president Rani Agarwal, BSP state president Ramakant Pimple and SP state president Manoj Yadav have also been invited to the meeting. OBC Commission Chairman Ramakrishna Kusmaria, Minister Krishna Gaur, Narayan Singh Kushwaha and other prominent leaders will also be present in the meeting. The objective of this all-party meeting is to prepare a clear and effective strategy by listening to the suggestions of all the parties on the issue of OBC reservation, so that the government can strongly put its side in the case going on in the Supreme Court and the OBC class can get their rights.
Congress's 'Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod' foot march in Bhopal
Today, a massive foot march is being organized by the Madhya Pradesh Congress in Bhopal under the 'Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod' program. The march will start from the District Congress Office, Roshanpura and will proceed through the main routes of the city. The march will be led by State Congress President Jeetu Patwari and Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar. The program is being organized on the issue of alleged vote theft in the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. Congress leaders allege that the BJP took unethical advantage through manipulation of voter lists and fake votes, due to which the Congress lost 27 seats. Umang Singhar has claimed that 16 lakh new voters were added in two months, which was not informed to political parties.
Today's program of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will be on a Delhi tour today. Before this, he will participate in important programs in Bhopal. From 11 am to 1 pm, he will chair an all-party meeting organized on the issue of OBC reservation at Samatva Bhavan of CM House. Representatives of all major political parties will attend this meeting, in which the implementation of 27% OBC reservation will be discussed. The Chief Minister has reserved time for meeting at Samatva Bhavan itself from 1:15 pm to 2:30 pm. After this, he will leave for Delhi at 3:20 pm. Late in the evening in New Delhi, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will participate in various local programs.
