A scam was done in the name of repair in a government school in Shahdol district of Madhya Pradesh. School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh has ordered an investigation in this matter. The Education Secretary and Public Education Commissioner have been entrusted with the responsibility of investigation. At the same time, after the preliminary investigation, the in-charge principal has been suspended.
clearly said that corruption will not be tolerated in the government of CM Dr. Mohan Yadav. Sharing information in his X account, he wrote - After the complaint in the construction work of Sakandi High School in Byahari of Shahdol, the in-charge principal of the school has been immediately suspended after being found guilty in the preliminary investigation. The department is committed to take strict action against the culprits in any such case.
This is the whole matter
The matter is related to the schools of Sakandi and Nipaniya villages of Byahari assembly constituency. Where fraud of lakhs of rupees has come to light in the name of maintenance work in government schools. Lakhs of rupees were paid by showing fake entries of hundreds of labourers and masons for minor works like painting, door-window fitting in Government High School Sakandi and Government Higher Secondary School Nipaniya of Janpad Panchayat Byahari.
Payment of Rs 1,06,984 for Sakandi High School
In the high school of Sakandi village, 168 labourers and 65 masons were shown for painting of just 4 liters of oil paint. The surprising thing is that a total of Rs 1,06,984 has been paid for this work. This payment was approved by the in-charge District Education Officer Phool Singh Marpachi and the money was withdrawn from the treasury.
Payment of Rs 2,31,685 for Nipania School
Similarly, in Nipania school, 275 labourers and 150 masons were shown to have done the work of painting 20 liters, fitting 10 windows and 4 doors. An amount of Rs 2,31,685 was paid for this. The most shocking thing in the case is that the bill was prepared by Sudhakar Construction on 5 May 2025. Whereas the school principal verified it on 4 April 2025 itself. That is, the bill was approved a month before it was prepared. Which in itself gives a strong indication of fraud.
