Hamidia College Principal Complains to ACS Over Azan Disruptions During Exams

The Principal of Hamidia College in Bhopal has formally complained to the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) regarding disturbances caused by the loudspeaker-based Azan from a nearby mosque. The Principal cited that the early morning calls, especially during exam periods, are affecting students' concentration and academic performance. The ACS has acknowledged the complaint and assured appropriate action to address the issue.

The prestigious Hamidia Mahavidyalaya located in the capital Bhopal has come under the grip of a new controversy these days. Students and faculty members have raised questions about security, discipline and study environment regarding the mosque located in the college campus. After which the college principal Dr. Pushpalata Chaukse has complained about this to ACS Anupam Rajan of the Higher Education Department. He told that students are disturbed during exams due to Azaan in the mosque built near the college. This problem has come to the fore during many competitive examinations including NEET.

Movement of outsiders during Namaz in the mosque
The students studying here also allege that the movement of outsiders increases during Namaz in the mosque, which weakens the security system of the college and at the same time important work like studies and examinations in the classroom is disrupted. The college principal has raised this issue in the VC of the Higher Education Department.
