Madhya Pradesh faces a heavy rain alert across 15 districts including Jabalpur, Balaghat, and Alirajpur, with up to 8 in (≈200 mm) of rain expected within 24 hours in the Alirajpur–Balaghat area. Authorities caution against flash floods, lightning, and water‑logging. Stay indoors, avoid travel in low‑lying regions, and monitor updates from weather officials and IMD.
Monsoon has become active in Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rain warning has been issued in 15 districts of the state. There is an alert of 8 inches of rain in 24 hours in Alirajpur and Balaghat. Heavy rain will also fall in the capital Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur.

Since the monsoon became active in MP, the phase of rain has been continuing in the entire state. On Thursday, a heavy rain alert has been issued in Bhopal, Jabalpur, Indore, Rajgarh, Sehore, Vidisha, Sagar, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Damoh, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla and Dindori. While there is an orange alert of very heavy rain in Balaghat and Alirajpur.
Water fell in more than 25 districts
On Wednesday (25 June), it rained in many districts. Satna received the most rain. 2.2 inches of rain was recorded here. Khajuraho of Chhatarpur received 1.7 inches of rain, Bhopal received 1.4 inches, Khargone received 1 inch, Naugaon of Chhatarpur and half an inch of rain in Sidhi.
At the same time, rain continued in Gwalior, Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Chhindwara, Sehore, Rewa, Datia, Betul, Guna, Narmadapuram, Ratlam, Shivpuri, Chhindwara, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Umaria, Katni, Tikamgarh, Dhar, Dindori, Sheopur and Shajapur.

On 27th June, rain warning has been issued in Sagar, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar, Vidisha, Sagar, Damoh, Pandhurna, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori, Rewa, Sidhi and Singrauli districts.
