High Court Cracks Down on Illegal Dairy, Poultry Farms; Notice to Jabalpur Collector

The High Court has taken a strict stand against illegal dairy and poultry farms operating in violation of norms. A contempt notice has been issued to the Jabalpur Collector for non-compliance with earlier orders, signaling firm judicial action.
The High Court has taken a tough stand on illegally operated dairy and poultry farms in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The High Court has issued a contempt notice to the Jabalpur Collector regarding the matter.
In fact, the High Court had given instructions to remove illegally operated dairy and poultry farms in the city in May 2025. The petitioner says that even after the court's instructions, the concerned agency (district administration) did not take any action.
The filth and stench of the dairy made life difficult for the people
Jabalpur resident advocate Mohit Verma has filed a PIL in the High Court regarding the matter. Heavy traffic jams occur due to illegal dairy and poultry farms on the Paraswada Jamtara road. It has also been said that the roads are damaged due to heavy vehicles in the dairy and poultry farm. Due to the filth and stench spreading from the dairy, it is difficult for people to get out of there.
