High Court strict in promotion petition case: 20 thousand fine imposed on Deputy Labor Commissioner

Gwalior. The Gwalior bench of the High Court, while hearing the petition related to promotion, has imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on the Deputy Labor Commissioner. This fine has been imposed against the OIC of the case i.e. the officer in charge for hiding the record.

Actually the case is of a petition filed by Assistant Labor Commissioner Rohan Singh Yadav. A petition was filed regarding promotion from Assistant Labor Commissioner to the post of Deputy Labor Commissioner. Where the High Court had ordered to present the record of departmental investigation during the hearing. But despite the court's order, the record was not presented. The record did not contain the charge sheet and its reply. On which the High Court had sought clarification from the competent officer. The competent officer, while giving an affidavit, said that this record has been presented along with the petition, later the officer withdrew the affidavit and gave a new affidavit and said that the necessary documents have been presented. The court expressed displeasure over this and believed that the record has been hidden by the officer. On this basis, Deputy Labor Commissioner Prabhat Kumar Dubey has been ordered to pay a fine of Rs 20,000.
