A fatal road accident on the Dewas–Bhopal Highway has left three people dead and one critically injured after a car overturned late at night near Nevari Fata in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas district. The incident has raised concerns about highway safety and speeding.

Accident Details on Dewas–Bhopal Highway

The accident took place around 1:30 AM on Saturday night when a car carrying four passengers was travelling on the Dewas–Bhopal Highway. Near Nevari Fata, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid and overturn violently on the road.

Eyewitnesses and early reports suggest that the vehicle was moving at a high speed, which may have contributed to the driver’s inability to control it on the highway stretch.

Casualties and Identification of Victims

The impact of the crash was severe, resulting in the instant death of three passengers. The deceased have been identified as Shubham, Pradeep, and Mohit, all residents of village Gunai Sonkach.

One passenger, Sachin, survived the accident but suffered critical injuries. He was first taken to a nearby hospital in Dewas for emergency treatment and later referred to Indore due to the seriousness of his condition.

Medical Response and Hospital Statement

Dr. Rahul Gehlod from the district hospital confirmed that four accident victims were brought in after the crash. He stated that three of them had already died before reaching medical care, while one was stabilized and referred to Indore for further treatment.

Medical teams highlighted the severity of the injuries, indicating a high-impact collision consistent with a high-speed rollover accident.

Investigation and Possible Causes

Police officials are investigating the exact cause of the accident. Preliminary suspicion points toward overspeeding and possible loss of control on a highway curve or uneven stretch. Further examination of the vehicle and road conditions is underway.

Authorities are also reviewing whether any external factors such as visibility, driver fatigue, or mechanical failure contributed to the crash.
