Hindus and Muslims Equally Remembered as Freedom Fighters: Congress MLA Pays Tribute, BJP’s Rameshwar Says Muslim Martyrs Not Forgotten

On the occasion of remembering India’s martyrs, a Congress MLA honored the sacrifices of freedom fighters, while BJP MLA Rameshwar emphasized that Muslim martyrs have also been an integral part of the nation’s struggle for independenc

The politics that started over the martyrs in the freedom struggle has now reached the Hindu-Muslim issue in Madhya Pradesh. Congress MLA Arif Masood held a program with school children remembering the Muslim freedom fighters who were martyred in the freedom struggle.

Contribution of Hindus and Muslims in Independence

MLA Arif Masood said - Hindus and Muslims have all contributed to India's freedom. Some hateful Chintus have come who want to divide the country. They want to draw a line that Muslims have no contribution in India's independence. In such a situation, it becomes very important that the Muslim community comes forward and tells the society that Muslims have also contributed significantly in the freedom struggle. The stories of Muslim heroes are being removed from the syllabus. This shows how the seeds of hatred are being sown in the country. Today, Tiranga Yatra is being taken out but when the tricolor was in hand, people were shot at, then our Maulanas came out with the tricolor.

BJP's counter attack on Congress' program

BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma said, "If Muslims have started thinking about this, I will congratulate them. I will tell the Muslim community to first correct the leaders who are asking questions. If you want to start remembering, then start with Ashfaqulla Khan, Abdul Hamid, Abdul Kalam. The Muslim revolutionaries of that time did not become revolutionaries in the name of Islam, they were revolutionaries in the name of India and India never divided the martyrs into Hindus and Muslims. In India, Ashfaqulla Khan is worshipped and revered in the same way as Bhagat Singh, Ram Prasad Bismil, Jhansi ki Rani and Tatya Tope are worshipped.

Martyrs are not divided into any religion
The problem is that the Muslims of India have stopped worshipping those martyrs who were actually crazy about freedom. Some Muslims of India started joining Jinnah's voice. When the Muslims of India will rise up, the day is not far when the tricolor will fly in Lahore and Islamabad. We have not forgotten the Muslim martyrs of India. We have never divided the martyrs into any religion. Those who fought and died for the motherland are saluted today and yesterday too.
