Hotel Worker’s ₹45,000 Robbery Claim Not Confirmed, Two Minors Booked

Police say a hotel employee initially reported being robbed at knifepoint in Choithram Mandi. The investigation instead found a dispute after the two sides’ bikes collided; two minors were taken into preventive custody.

A reported robbery of ₹45,000 involving a hotel employee at Choithram Mandi in Indore has taken a different turn after police found no evidence to substantiate the alleged loot.According to ACP Nidhi Saxena, the complainant had approached the police claiming that two youths on a motorcycle had threatened him with a knife and robbed him of ₹45,000. Police reached the spot and began checking the circumstances surrounding the complaint.The investigation indicated that the incident began with a collision between the motorcycles of the two sides, followed by an argument.

Police find dispute after bike collision

During the spot inquiry, police found that the two sides had been involved in a confrontation after their bikes collided.Both parties were subsequently brought to the police station for questioning. During the inquiry, the complainant reportedly told police that the two youths had attacked his neck with a key after the motorcycle collision and then fled.Police said the claim that ₹45,000 had been robbed could not be confirmed during the investigation.

Initial complaint alleged knife-point robbery

The complainant, identified as Deepak Rathore, had reportedly gone to the police station along with another person, Mukesh. They alleged that two motorcycle-borne youths had held them at knifepoint and taken ₹45,000.Following the complaint, a police team immediately visited the location to verify the incident.The subsequent inquiry, however, did not establish the reported robbery. Police instead focused on the confrontation that followed the motorcycle collision.

Two accused are minors

ACP Nidhi Saxena said both youths identified during the inquiry are minors. Police have taken preventive action against them under the applicable provisions.Both sides remained at the police station until Saturday night as police questioned them about the sequence of events.The police investigation has therefore shifted from the reported robbery to the dispute and alleged assault following the motorcycle collision. The claim of ₹45,000 being stolen has not been established based on the information currently available.
