Shraddha Shukla from Mauganj Wins Gold, Hoists MP’s Flag in Surat

The soil of Madhya Pradesh has once again brought glory to the nation. Thirteen-year-old Shraddha Shukla from Mauganj district has made the state proud by winning a gold medal at the National Kudo Karate Championship held in Surat, Gujarat. Her remarkable achievement has sparked a wave of joy throughout the district.
As Shraddha, a resident of Baraw Shukla village in Hanumana tehsil, arrived at the railway station, people welcomed her with garlands and cheers. She is currently a Class 7 student at Sai Public School, Shardapuram (Rewa).
Shraddha’s father, Pradyumn Shukla, is a journalist based in Mauganj, while her grandfather, Bihari Lal Shukla, is a respected social worker and farmer. The family has always placed great emphasis on education and discipline.
Since childhood, Shraddha has been interested in sports and drawing. Encouraged by her father, she began her training at the Ayush Karate Academy in Sardar Puram, Rewa. Through consistent practice and dedication, she first won gold at the district level, followed by another gold at the state-level competition in Indore. Building on these successes, she once again claimed gold at the national championship in Surat.
When Shraddha arrived at Rewa railway station on Saturday evening, she was greeted warmly by family members, social workers, and well-wishers. On Sunday, when she reached her village, the locals also celebrated her victory with great enthusiasm.
Speaking to journalists, Shraddha said —
“This is just the beginning. My goal is to raise the national flag at the international level.”
Her father, Pradyumn Shukla, expressed immense pride, saying that hard work, discipline, and self-confidence helped his daughter achieve this milestone.
Shraddha’s triumph has created an atmosphere of excitement among sports enthusiasts in Mauganj and Rewa, while congratulatory messages continue to pour in from across the region.
