India’s First Hindi-Medium Medical College in Jabalpur

After making MBBS books available in Hindi, now Madhya Pradesh Medical University is preparing to start a Hindi medical college in Jabalpur. Everything from studies to examinations will be in Hindi. This will be the first medical college in the country to offer MBBS in Hindi. This proposal got approval in the working council meeting of the Medical University held on Friday.

Madhya Pradesh Medical University is soon going to start the country's first Hindi medical college in Jabalpur. This college with 50 MBBS seats will start from the academic session 2027-28. Studies will be conducted in Hindi medium in it.

Medical University sent proposal to Madhya Pradesh government

After getting the green signal from the University Working Council, the proposal has been sent to the state government. An initial budget of Rs 1 crore has also been proposed for this.

The university has planned to develop it as a College of Excellence in mother tongue Hindi. Till now the university itself does not run any college. Only affiliation and examination related work is the responsibility of the university. Now the academic quality will also improve due to the university having its own college.

Studying medicine in Hindi will be convenient for students coming from rural and tribal areas. This proposal has been passed in the meeting of the working council of the university.

Will be affiliated with Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur
This college will be affiliated with Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur and will be prepared in accordance with all the standards of NMC. The college will be made fully residential. After approval from the state government and recognition from NMC, the process of construction and faculty selection will start.

The university will publish its journal in HindiMadhya Pradesh Medical University (MU) will also publish its journal in Hindi. MU is continuously working in this direction so that teachers and students do not face any language problem with the start of the college. Keeping in mind the Hindi curriculum, MU is working on a library in which course related text books will be translated into Hindi.
