Indore Metro Trial Run Reaches Hiranagar Successfully

The Indore Metro achieved a major milestone as the train reached Hiranagar during a successful trial run on the priority corridor. The service is expected to open to the public soon.

The city's much-awaited metro project has reached another significant milestone. The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) successfully completed a major trial run on the priority corridor. On September 19th, the metro's first trial run took place from SC-03 to MR-10 station. On September 26th, the scope was further expanded, and for the first time, metro trains traveled beyond MR-10 to ISBT, Chandragupta, and Hiranagar stations.

Review of Power Supply and Facilities

MPMRCL Managing Director S. Krishna Chaitanya (IAS) was present on the occasion. He conducted a trolley test from Malviya Nagar to Bapat station and a metro train inspection from Hiranagar to SC-02 station. He also reviewed preparations such as track, signaling, power supply, and station facilities.

Remaining civil and system works should be expedited.

The Managing Director congratulated all officials, consultants, and contractors for the successful trial. He also directed that a trial run be conducted as soon as possible up to Malviya Nagar intersection and that the remaining civil and system work be expedited. Officials clarified that as soon as all necessary permissions are obtained, metro services on the priority corridor will be opened to the public.
