Indore Police Give Stone Pelters Pens, Not Jail Time
In a unique move, Indore Police handed over pens and notebooks instead of jail time to stone pelters, making them write lines as a form of punishment and reformative discipline at the police station.
A unique punishment has been given to stone pelters in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Police gave copy and pen to the criminals in the police station and made them fill the dossier form. Its purpose is to make the criminals aware of the crime they have committed. It is also to teach them not to commit any kind of crime in future.
In Indore's Aerodrome police station area, the police have punished the stone pelters in a unique way. After the stone pelting incident in Chhota Bangda area a few days ago, the accused were called to the police station on the instructions of Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh. They were given copy-pen and the dossier forms were filled by them. Dossier forms have been filled in three copies by each accused. If there is a mistake in any form, then they have to fill the entire form again. In this process, the accused have been sitting in the police station for 11 hours continuously and filling the form.
Complete information including name, address, Aadhaar number, mobile, social media account, bank details is being recorded in the dossier form. The police has made it clear that if anyone is found involved in such an incident again, his bank account will be sealed. This action of Indore Police is being considered a different initiative towards reforming criminals, in which along with fear, a message of reform has also been given.
