Indore to Nashik Direct Flights Resume: IndiGo Boosts Pilgrimage Travel to Shirdi, Trimbakeshwar, Bhimashankar

Indore’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport has relaunched direct flights to Nashik with IndiGo, making religious tourism to key pilgrimage sites like Shirdi, Trimbakeshwar, and Bhimashankar far more convenient. The service, suspended in August due to route optimization, now operates three days a week, offering affordable fares starting at just ₹4,000.

Flight Schedule and Details

IndiGo flight 6E-7154 departs Indore at 1:30 PM and lands in Nashik at 2:40 PM. The return leg, 6E-7109, leaves Nashik at 3:00 PM and arrives in Indore by 4:15 PM. Running on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the route uses an ATR-72 aircraft with 76 seats. Base fares are ₹4,052 from Indore to Nashik and ₹3,771 for the return, positioning it as a budget-friendly option for devotees.

Pilgrimage Connectivity Boost

Nashik serves as a gateway to Maharashtra’s spiritual heartland. Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is only 90 km away, while Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga and Bhimashankar are within 200 km. Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga, another sacred site, lies 172 km from Nashik. This direct Indore-Nashik flight cuts travel time significantly, replacing lengthy road or rail journeys for Madhya Pradesh pilgrims.

Indore Airport on Growth Trajectory

The winter schedule has pushed daily flights beyond 90, with average passenger traffic hitting 11,500—up from 82 flights and 10,000 passengers earlier. New Goa routes and daily Indore-Sharjah international service underscore the airport’s rising prominence. However, weather disruptions recently delayed over 24 flights from Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru.

For seamless Indore to Nashik booking or Shirdi-Trimbakeshwar pilgrimage planning, this IndiGo resumption is a game-changer. Travelers seeking cheap direct flights to Nashik should act fast, as demand from religious tourists is expected to surge.
