Jabalpur Murder Case: Man Stabs Woman 15 Times for Refusing to Meet, Arrested While Fleeing to Delhi

In a shocking incident from Jabalpur, a woman named Muskan Yadav was brutally stabbed 15 times by her neighbor and alleged friend, Golu Yadav, after she refused to meet him. Police have arrested the accused from Madan Mahal railway station while he was planning to flee to Delhi.

According to investigators, 28-year-old Golu Yadav killed Muskan in her home on November 18 after a heated argument. He later confessed to the murder, stating that he felt “no remorse” for his actions. Police said Golu attacked Muskan while her husband, Anand Yadav, was bathing. Hearing her screams, Anand rushed out and saw Golu attacking his wife with a knife before fleeing toward Ghantaghar.

Police Trace Accused Through Over 100 CCTV Cameras

After the crime, teams from Omti police station and Crime Branch launched a manhunt to nab Golu. His mobile phone was frequently switched off, and he kept changing locations, making it difficult for police to track him. Investigators screened footage from more than 100 CCTV cameras across Jabalpur and surrounding districts, including Sihora, Katni, Satna, and Rewa.

Though his movement was detected in several places, Golu kept evading arrest. Later, police received intelligence that he was hiding in Delhi, but even there, he kept turning off his phone to avoid being traced.

Arrested While Planning to Flee Again

After remaining on the run for four days, Golu secretly returned home to meet his wife in Udiya Mohalla on Saturday. Acting on a tip-off from an informer, the Omti police surrounded Madan Mahal railway station at night and arrested him while he was trying to board a train to Delhi.

Police recovered blood-stained clothes and the murder weapon based on Golu’s information during interrogation.

Revenge Crime Over Failed Friendship

As per Omti police station in-charge Rajpal Singh Baghel, Golu and Muskan were friends for over three years. However, Muskan had distanced herself due to Golu’s involvement in criminal activities. She had changed her phone number and stopped all communication two months ago. Feeling insulted and rejected, Golu decided to kill her. During questioning, he told police he had “no regret” about murdering her.

Case to be Tried in Fast-Track Court

Police have filed a case of murder under Section 302 of the IPC and plan to seek a hearing in a fast-track court to ensure strict punishment for the accused.

The brutal Jabalpur murder case has sparked public outrage and renewed demands for stronger action against repeat offenders involved in crimes against women.
