Jitu Patwari Faces Backlash Over Liquor Remark

Congress leader Jitu Patwari drew criticism for his liquor statement as BJP leaders and former minister Archana Chitnis termed it an insult to women’s faith.

There is a political uproar in the state on Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari's statement on liquor. BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav have also criticized his statement. National spokesperson Sundashu Trivedi has also posted on social media X regarding the matter.

Jitu Patwari should apologize to women
BJP President Hemant Khandelwal wrote in a post on X - No amount of strong words can be used to condemn the shameful statement of Congress President and Rahul Gandhi's favorite Jitu Patwari insulting the women power of the state by calling them drunkards. Today, when crores of sisters across the country are observing the fast of Hartalika Teej by fasting without food with pure faith, using such indecent and insulting language against the women power on such a holy day is a grave insult not only to Indian culture but also to the faith of crores of women. The BJP government under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is providing financial assistance to the Laadli sisters with respect, hence the irritated Congress is furious. Jeetu Patwari should apologize to women for his indecent statement against the women power.

On the statement of Jeetu Patwari, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said - The BJP government is continuously working for women. Our governments have run many schemes for 50% of the population. The Prime Minister has brought separate reservation in the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha. Congress never gave reservation to sisters, never gave importance to sisters, nor ran schemes like Laadli Lakshmi to Laadli Behna. On the contrary, Congress calling sisters drunkards is an insult to the sisters of the entire state. The Congress President should apologize. Today is Hartalika Teej, I don't know what kind of mentality the Congress people have. Sometimes they talk about throwing the girls in sacks and sometimes they call them drunkards.
