Kartik Aaryan Returns to Gwalior for Sister’s Wedding, Joins Private Haldi Celebration Ahead of Film Release

Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan arrived in Gwalior this week to attend the wedding festivities of his sister, Kritika Tiwari. The Haldi ceremony, held at the Usha Kiran Palace, was conducted under strict privacy measures, with security personnel ensuring that only close relatives and invited guests were allowed in.

According to sources present at the venue, Kartik actively participated in the rituals and was seen dancing with his sister during the ceremony. The actor, who often speaks about his close ties with his family, shared light moments with relatives through the evening.

Kartik has frequently expressed his emotional connection with Gwalior, where he spent his early years. The actor is known to revisit his favourite local eateries whenever he returns to the city and maintains strong ties to his hometown despite his demanding film career.

His bond with Kritika has also been a recurring theme in interviews. In 2024, Kartik described their relationship as “Tom and Jerry,” recalling his mischievous childhood and how his sister had been the more sensible sibling. He has referred to her as both his confidante and best friend.

The wedding celebrations come as Kartik prepares for the release of his next film, Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, directed by Sameer Vidwans. The romantic comedy-drama, which features Ananya Panday in the lead role alongside Kartik, is slated to hit theatres on 25 December.

With the actor briefly stepping away from promotional activities to attend the family event, the wedding has remained an intimate affair. More ceremonies are expected to follow over the next few days, with the family maintaining strict confidentiality around the schedule.
