The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, organized a special event in Indore on Friday to mark World Tourism Day 2025 and the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. The event was held at the Gujarati Samaj School, where a painting competition was held for students. The theme of the competition was "Cleanliness and Sustainability." Approximately 100 students participated and, through their creativity, depicted the importance of cleanliness in their paintings. The children beautifully depicted the interrelationship between tourism and cleanliness through their imaginations.
Awards and Honors
The winners were honored by India Tourism, Indore. The organizers stated that the purpose of this competition is not only to promote artistic talent in children but also to instill the importance of cleanliness and sustainable tourism.
Significance of World Tourism Day
World Tourism Day is celebrated every year on September 27th. This year, the theme is "Tourism and Sustainable Change." The objective is to highlight the social, cultural, and economic importance of tourism.
