Madhya Pradesh Weather Alert: Rain, Storm & Hail in 33 Districts Today

The IMD has issued a weather alert for 33 districts in Madhya Pradesh today, warning of thunderstorms, rain, and possible hail. This rainy spell is expected to continue till May 5. Stay updated on your city’s forecast.

Due to western disturbance, cyclone and trough line, the weather of Madhya Pradesh will remain changed till Monday. It will have the most effect in the eastern and southern parts. On Thursday, dust storms along with rain occurred in 17 districts of the state. Alot of Ratlam district received the highest rainfall of 16 mm, Shajapur received wind at a speed of 73 km per hour and hail fell in Maihar district along with light rain.

Today, Friday, a warning of cloud, rain and storm has been issued in 33 districts. During this time, strong winds can blow at a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour, incidents of thunderstorms can occur. Hail may also fall in 5 districts.

Currently, cyclone is present in the upper part of the air over south-west Rajasthan and its surroundings and cyclone is also present in the upper part of the air over south-eastern and central Rajasthan. Apart from this, a trough has formed from south-eastern Rajasthan to western Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, interior Karnataka and Kerala. From Friday, a new western disturbance is also likely to become active in the Himalayan region, due to its effect, rain activities will increase.
