Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis will visit Bhopal tomorrow for River Linking MoU

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis will visit Bhopal tomorrow as work begins on Madhya Pradesh's third river linking project. The MoU will be signed in the presence of CM Dr. Mohan.

Bhopal. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Bhopal visit: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will come to Bhopal tomorrow. MoU of "Tapti Basin Mega Recharge" project will be signed in his presence. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that after Ken-Betwa Link Project and Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link Project, now work will be done on the third important interstate river project Tapti Basin Mega Recharge Project in MP. All the obstacles of this interstate joint project have now been removed.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Tapti Basin Mega Recharge Project is the world's largest ground recharge project. Through this, by creating three streams of Tapti river in collaboration with the Maharashtra government, every corner of agricultural land will be irrigated by ensuring the use of every drop of river water in the national interest.

Maharashtra will get 19.36 TMC and MP will get 11.76 TMC water
He said that a total of 31.13 TMC water will be used in Tapti Basin Mega Recharge Scheme. Out of this, 11.76 TMC will go to Madhya Pradesh and 19.36 TMC water will come to Maharashtra. A total of 3 thousand 362 hectares of land of Madhya Pradesh will be used through the proposed dams and canals in this project. No village will be affected in the project. Therefore, there will be no need for rehabilitation in this.

Work on a big national project with UP continues
The Chief Minister said that we are committed to make proper use of every drop of water of every river of the state in the interest of the nation and the state. Just as recently we have started work on the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal project with Rajasthan. Similarly, work is being done on the big national project of linking Ken-Betwa rivers with Uttar Pradesh.

CM said- Water will be available for drinking and irrigation
The CM further said that now we have decided to move forward with Maharashtra through this third national river water project. This project will provide sufficient water to the northern region of Maharashtra and parts of the southern region of Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, the problem of drinking water in big cities like Nagpur and adequate supply of irrigation water in Chhindwara district will also be ensured.
